Just listened. Sounded ok I have to admit that I was trying to keep my expectations for this film "low" to avoid disappointment. But now after following this thread and the things people are saying about the film on social media I'm getting super excited  I'm so glad some of you get to watch the film and can't wait to hear what you think Hi Roald! Don't be such a stranger, it's just like 4 or 5 of us posting, Lol.  I´ve actually never left. I´m always reading what you post. It´s just that I didn´t remember what my password was, but I´m back at posting. These are exciting times. |

Welcome back both of ya  Back to this film, it got another 5-star rating on Letterboxd, but also a 3 and a 3 and a half. Seems like it will be all over the place. I'm counting on the likes of THR, Justin Chang at the LA Times, Guy Lodge and others to come out with raves, at least for Michelle and hopefully good for the film too. |

Twitter trolls will jump on anything remotely negative because it supports their agenda. Agree with waiting to see what the major critics have to say about it.
My biggest worry right now is deciding which bottle of wine I'm going to open when I watch the virtual screening tomorrow night. Can't believe it's just hours away now.

Kinda interesting to attend a film festival virtually. I'm excited. Will post my reactions after I finish watching. |

It's not a bad review per say, but then again I get the feeling this is as close to a rave review as a critic like this usually gives out lol

This won't count on Metacritic or RottenTomatoes though. Last film he reviewed on Rotten Tomatoes was in 2019. |

Michelle just posted less than an hour ago that the French Exit press screening just finished. Guess we can expect to see videos pop up...I hope. She looks amazing btw!!

That says A release date for “French Exit” has not yet been announced. Either they missed the Feb 12 date or SPC is going to change it. I bet they just aren't aware though. |

That's a nice writeup, and really encouraging! And considering it's from Anne Thompson, it's credible. She's in my opinion, the best Oscar pundit around. |

This just got a 1-star rating and a puke emoji review on Letterboxd. All over the place. How that can happen, then have actual awards pundits say it will be a contender at least for acting and say it's a good, entertaining film, is just so bizarre lol. I know film criticism is subjective, but sheesh, usually it isn't this polarizing. Tomorrow will be interesting.
