A good journalist would have followed up with: "Wait....Michelle Pfeiffer is in Infinity War and or Avengers 4???, is that what you're saying??"

Looks like Nicole Kidman and her Blossom Films have optioned the new novel The Female Persuasion with Lynda Obst who produced One Fine Day with Michelle. Just doing a quick browse at the story it looks like one of the main characters is Faith Frank a 63 year old female. C'mon Nicole throw Michelle a role.

Would be great, but it sounds like such a good role that Kidman may make the character younger so she can play it herself

Nicole seems pretty busy just now with Big Little Lies and then will be doing The Undoing with David. Nicole could just be a producer. Book was only just published so its probably very early days anyways.

Wanna bet the character will be changed to 68 to 70 so Meryl Streep can play it hahah

Hm, star studded cast but they're waiting to announce. Don't want to get my hopes up. I just hope whatever she does next is great.

Sounds like a dream I wouldn't be surprised if she lined up something to do for the fall. Of course, she could very well decide to focus her energy on the Ant-Man re-shoots, promoting that film AND re-locating back to L.A. I REALLY want her to sign onto another film tho!!

I wonder why this fell through so many times? I love Angela Bassett, though. She deserves better.

I'm sure it fell through because of the financing. When Michelle was attached, it was set up at Fox Searchlight, then it wasn't. Maybe the exiting of the company made her, Keaton n Davis walk away. I wonder if Michelle could/would come back to the project. Does anybody here still wanna see her in that movie??

I personally wouldn't mind tbh...it seems like a harmless enough venture. But it IS a bit of a step back after her last four movies, at least judging by the premise. Also, as a critic I'm on the fence bout Netflix and the way they showcase their feature films. They definitely have the money to give limited theatrical runs, or full runs, to their original stuff, but choose not to. Nor do they release all their content on home video. They claim to love the art of cinema, which I will give to them, but they don't have an appreciation for the ACTUAL experience of cinema.

This project never excited me. Not nearly as much as some others that didn’t happen, like Man Under or She’s Gone.

I was thinking about that author who said Pfeiffer optioned the rights to her book for a film (which is no longer the case). But, do we think maybe she is wanting to get back into producing? Look at what Witherspoon and Kidman and other actresses are doing, they're really taking control of their acting careers by developing great projects for themselves. I know it sounds like Pfeiffer had a bit of a hard time producing and it sounds like she just didn't enjoy it anymore but I thought it was realy interesting she had optioned that book a few years ago. Kidman has projects lined up and a lot of them are happening because her production company made them happen.
I'm like on pins and needles just waiting to hear what she's doing next.

Same here. I think she's open to producing, but just doesn't want to have a company. That's what she said on Charlie Rose during their interview.

It would be great if Michelle started producing again but don't think she really enjoyed producing and having to watch herself back.

I think this was brought up before. But, I think she'd be great as Conway, that would be fun, but I also kind of want her to stay far away from this, as it's just utter trash, really.

Maleficent 2 is all well n good, but I really want her next project to either be a lead/secondary lead to continue the momentum n not relegate her to just supporting/ensemble parts.

Yeah I hope her next project is a smaller studio drama. I'd even love to see her in a limited series.

I know!! She could have taken the place of pretty much ANY of the women nominated that year

I'd also like to see her doing another animated film of some kind. Pixar or Disney... she has such a great voice and it would be great to hear her in another villainous role of sorts.

A bit off topic, but why do think she wasn’t nominated for White Oleander? The Chicago effect?
