It's hard to keep up with the strikes as I haven't really been following it. Does anyone know how long they will go on for?

The strike could last a long time. Major issues over pay and residuals from streaming platforms, concerns about the emergence of AI, etc. It's the first time in 63 years that the writers and actors guilds have gone on strike at the same time.

Sounds like even more delays for Wild Four O’Clocks

AI is probably the biggest issue. It's a major problem.
I kind of chuckled when I read her caption about standing with her "fellow actors" - girl, start acting like you're still an actor when the strike is over, pleeeeease!

Support the strike but just sucks having no movie news come out. God know when we'll see Michelle back on a film set.

Actors are signing onto new projects so no reason she can’t read scripts and take meetings

Has anyone watched The Bear? Is it good? Worth my time even without Michelle?

Has anyone watched The Bear? Is it good? Worth my time even without Michelle? I love this show, the first season was really good. I have just seen the episode of the second season with Jamie Lee and all I can say is that Michelle would have been terrific in this role… I am really pissed that she passed on this. Plus she would have shared the screen with Bob Odenkirk, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Paulson who all appear too in this episode. Would have preferred not knowing that she has been considered for this… 😭

It's mindboggling. I'm still pissed about it lol.

Silence of the Lambs was on TV the other night and I still get pissed about that one. Jodie Foster was obviously great but a big what could have been for Michelle.

The one that got away for me that hurts the most for me is still A Prairie Home Companion. I don’t know why, really, other than I would have loved to see her directed by Altman in such a sweet film

Let's hope she's raring to go once this strike is over and 2024 is a big year for her.

I'm starting to not care anymore. And that makes me sad. If only SHE cared about her film career more.

Maybe she had set herself a break until Wild Four O'Clocks shoots late 2023. I'm now not convinced that is even happening anymore. Maybe she'll surprise us with her next project.

An upcoming episode of Marvel's WHAT IF?... season two is entitled: What if Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne fought the Red Guardian during 1980’s?
Rudd, Lilly and Douglas all reprised their roles for an episode in season one, so chances are they snagged Pfeiffer for this. Although knowing our luck she turned it down and they drafted in a sound-a-like.

Of course the new film from Azazel Jacobs is now getting rave reactions at TIFF. Of course.

Lange, Pauslon, Plaza and now McAdams -- all set to appear on the NY stage over the coming months. Will we see Pfeiffer on stage at some point? Probably not, but with this ongoing strike, her best acting opportunities may be on stage.

WGA and AMPTP are back to the table on Wednesday. Let's hope AMPTP stop being so greedy and sort a deal for the writers so everyone can get back to work. Honestly didn't expect the strike to be ongoing as long as this.

Michelle has also gone very quiet on Henry Rose the last few months. Probably waiting till the strike is over and everyone going back to work and she'll be back at it promoting Henry Rose instead.

If Scott Rudin wasn't such a menace, it probably would have happened by now, as he was reportedly working to get her on stage

And now she's back, they just won an award, so I won't complain that much. Also, she has brought back the wavy hair. Ugh lol

Thank god a deal has been made between WGA and AMPTP. Let's hope the SAG strike is resolved soon too.
Let's hope Michelle is ready to throw herself back in to her other job and put Henry Rose aside or focus more on her acting now. Wonder if Wild Four O'Clocks is even still going to happen?

It didn’t occur to me that Craig was part of the WGA strike. Hopefully now that he’s free up, mayyyyyyybe he can get one of those exceptions for the actors so that filming can commence. Would be SO nice!!
I was at a podcast recording the other day and Michelle came up and someone said she wasn’t doing anything anymore. I mentioned she Quantumania this year and they were like: “but that’s it?” It was so depressing having to defend her having nothing but a turned down Bear episode and Wild Four o’ Clocks

I don't know anymore. The way she lights up every time she talks about HR or a new beauty product someone has sent her. Not so much when she talks about her films. She seems ambivalent, more measured in her words. Something has shifted.
