Apparently there is a third season of Big Little Lies in the works, why I don't know. I know Michelle won't be a part of it, just makes me wish she could get a juicy and good series like this for herself.

Pretty sure Ryan Murphy would love to work with her. I'm sure he could find a decent project for her. I know he's quite a hit and miss but Ryan is still a big name and loves finding roles for actresses. I would personally love to see Michelle work on a limited series for someone like Sam Esmail or Steven Zaillian.

Murphy tends to start out strong and then fizzle out. If Michelle really were to join one of his projects, I would hope to see at least two other names with showrunner billing to keep him in check. If Michelle can do something more like ACS and that Feud miniseries rather than Ratched, Hollywood, or The Politician, that would actually be fantastic...

It’s funny, Judith Light’s role in the The Politician is the only Ryan Murphy part I wouldn’t have minded her getting. It coulda been fun to see her play that kinda comedy.
Overall tho, the idea of her teaming up with Murphy really makes me nervous lol

Overall tho, the idea of her teaming up with Murphy really makes me nervous lol Except that throuple part. Michelle would never agree to play that especially when it was so poorly written and tossed in for shock value or to upset the flyover states. This is what I despise about Ryan Murphy who is in a position to deliver some memorable television (which he has done on occasion). He can't resist latching onto some boundary pushing fad and presenting it as if it's the chicest, hippest thing ever. Golly, wait til the flyover states see this one! Some of these concoctions are fun but none of the characters in The Politician rang true to me. They were cardboard cut-outs only brought to life by ace actors like Lange, Midler, Light and Paltrow. I agree with the comment above about him fizzling out. He's better suited to Monty Python sketch humor than sustaining / building a narrative over several hours with Feud, Normal Heart and a couple of the AHS / ACS shows being the few exceptions.

Yeah, he's been on a cold streak lately but his shows are still always way better than his feature films.

I've gotta say I've largely stayed away from his feature films, for no other reason except that I've just never gotten around to any of them. I saw Running with Scissors and thought it was alright for what it was trying to be, but Eat Pray Love and The Normal Heart...just never came my way I guess and I never sought them out. I'll probably be watching The Prom tho knowing my sentimental, musical-happy, Meryl-loving self lol

Watching The Undoing and just sad David can't write a show for Michelle. I know they have said they don't want to work together but it would nice to see her do something like this.

I should say, I had not seen it myself until tonight, and the person who told me made it seem like you could see the name on the bottle, but the clip I just saw showed what looks like the Henry Rose bottle and cap, but no label, so I was kind of misled, lol. I'm pretty sure it was Henry Rose, though. Showing the name would probably have been a bit too much anyway lol

Would love Michelle to land this. She's the same generation as the woman in this film and I do love me a good real-life retelling rooted in history lol

Sounds kind of interesting. Looked up pics of the woman and I guess I could see a fit, but Michelle might have to wear false teeth if they really want to be accurate lol. Also, I would be a little nervous. What happened the last time Michelle, Frears and Pathe worked together on a light drama? lol

I would be up for it but I can see them going for a British actress for the part. Maybe someone like Emma Thompson.

Ugh, I liked Cheri, but I will never get over that release date of early summer during the year of Miramax going under and no one there giving a crap about any of their releases that year because of it.
I know what you mean about Frears tho. His two projects following Cheri were dreadful!! Especially that Bruce Willis one. Florence Foster Jenkins, Victoria & Abdul and A Very English Scandal were all solid tho, I felt. Maybe he just does better with real-life stories these days.
Good point about the false teeth, I'm sure she'd settle for going de-glammed like she has before, but the teeth is a feature that's certainly questionable.

The latest vaccine developments seem great and hopefully it will speed up not only the world getting back to close to normal but also the film industry and Michelle will get a juicy new project soon.

I'm so ready for a new project announcement. What a crap year it's been. I would love to see her doing a limited series.

Yea, very limited. One season so she doesn't get comfortable and never leaves it for another project. And on some channel that releases physical media so I can add the limited series to my Michelle collection lol

Listening to the Laura Brown podcast it sounds like she has been offered projects during Covid19 but has been reluctant to travel and isolate during the pandemic.

Yea, but she mentioned that going to film something requires long periods of quarantining during and after, up to about 6 months in a hotel, or she's heard.

I have no doubt she has been given many 'limited series' offers. Hopefully when she is done with ANT-MAN 3 she chooses something interesting.

I have a feeling Ryan Murphy will write something with her in mind, he's always wanted to work with her and followed her on IG recently. I have mixed feelings if it happens lol.
