Such a sad loss to the film world. Besides giving Michelle one of the best opportunities of her career, he was truly a master filmmaker in his own right. The Manchurian Candidate, Rachel Getting Married and of course, The Silence of the Lambs are all master class examples of great filmmaking.

Oh, man. The world has lost so many talents the past couple of years. He was great. And yes, everyone needs to watch Rachel Getting Married if they haven't seen it yet. So beautiful and underrated.

Jonathan Demme is one of my all-time favorites. I could watch Married to the Mob, Silence of the Lambs, and Rachel Getting Married forever. It's a shame that he never got to work with Pfeiffer again. She could've played the Debra Winger role in Rachel Getting Married or the Meryl Streep role in Ricki and the Flash (even if I don't like that movie very much).

He had a script in development called Old Fires which I had hoped would have reunited the two of them
