This may have nothing at all to do with Michelle, but Deadline is reporting that Branagh's follow up to MOTOE, Death On The Nile, will be released on December 20, 2019. If the release date holds, it will compete with the film version of Wicked and the next Star Wars installment.

I don't want her to do Death on the Nile. Hopefully she has something else lined up. A lot of people predicting Maleficent 2 for 29 May 2020.

Yeah, I doubt she'll do 'Death on the Nile'. Her role was pretty prominent in 'Murder' so they'll want some fresh faces (Outside of perhaps Dench).
I just watched 'Maleficent' and it was pretty enjoyable, so it should be fun to see Michelle chew the scenery a little in the sequel ala 'Stardust', but I really hope her next project is something both challenging AND commercial.

Yes I just saw this. These reporters are annoying as the next question should be - What else have you got coming up?

Michelle needs another leading or co-lead role next. I like that she's working more but want to see more of her on screen. I hope Maleficent has given her a decent size role.

This is why Where is Kyra? flying so far under the radar is a tragedy. Great leading role and performance that hardly anyone saw. These lead roles don't grow on trees for older women. She finally got one and it just...landed with a dud, no fault of her own. General audiences really piss me off.

Right. This movie wasn’t going to be hit, even by arthouse standards, no matter who was starring in it

Yeah, that film flew really under the radar... Could a film of WiK's nature ever have a chance for mainstream appeal?

Did you all see that video of her on Extra, she basically said "I'm all about the experience at this point" referring to her working with Marvel and other projects. I thought that was interesting.

She can have it. Little Women again? So glad her name is nowhere near this.
Oh, Marmeeeeeee.....

Exactly...I want her to stay away from the sequels/remakes/adaptations for a while. It's 3 in a row...4 if you count Avengers.

Won't be long until we about castings for Death on the Nile. I really hope Michelle passes on this.

Lol. How freaking predictable. I like Streep. She's a fine actress (or used to be anyway) but I'm tired of her. Gerwig probably wrote this script with her in mind and didn't even think of anyone else, so whatever.

Update. Streep isn't playing Marmee. I bet it will be Metcalf though.

I'm kind of sad we've got nothing left for the rest of the year from Michelle now that Ant-Man is out. I kind of always suspected I'd feel this way...lol I shouldn't complain. We've had five new (terrific) performances from her in the last 14 months. Not only is that more than I thought we'd ever get from her, but regardless of screen time, genre, director, each one is a role I NEVER would have imagined her playing!! I guess I'm just bummed that, apart from a potential Maleficent teaser around the holidays (which she probably wouldn't even be in) and the supposed Where is Kyra? campaign, that's all there is until next year

I readily admit that I am greedy.
After "suffering" through the droughts of 2002 - 2007 and 2013 - 2017, I think it's fair to want her to land a meaty role with a top tier director and script before the year is over.
What more does she have to do for the great scripts to land on her desk before Moore, Bening, Streep, or Mirren's fingerprints have touched them?

Just be patient. I still haven't seen 4 movies of her, People Like Us, Kyra, Wizzard of Lies and Ant Man of course. So I'm not complaining.

Oh, you should check out People Like Us...it's a sweet film and she's got a good supporting role in it. Good showcase for her, especially after NYE and DS

God damn it. This would have been great for Pfeiffer. Amy Adams is a huge Pfan, too. This is filming now so she obviously can't do both Maleficent 2 and this, but I'd rather have seen her do this.

I would have loved that for Pfeiffer. She needs to be fighting for these roles (certainly more than 'Maleficent II'). It's not as if to say Moore has any greater exposure than her at the minute. I just don't know if it's her or her agent...

That would of been a great role for Michelle. These are the kind of roles I'd love to see Michelle nabbing.
Sounds like Michelle wraps Maleficent 2 end of August so ideally it would be great if she had a project lined up for the fall/early 2019 for a late 2019 release. (Although pretty please not Death on the Nile)
