Was Rocket Science gonna be behind this film? On the IMDB page, it doesn't have them listed under the production companies section. Only The Jackal Group is there. This is what Variety reported last month. "Rocket Science will finance the film and launch international sales at Cannes next week. CAA Media Finance represents the U.S. domestic rights. The script for “Turn of Mind,” based on Alice LaPlante’s New York Times bestseller of the same name, has been adapted by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright. The story centers on a retired orthopedic doctor suffering from Alzheimer’s who is trying to figure out – in her moments of clarity – if she killed the person the police claim she had, or if she’s being deceived. Producers are Raff, Gail Berman through The Jackal Group and Well Told Entertainment’s Rory Koslow. Raff is the creator of the Israeli series “Prisoners of War.” The American adaptation, “Homeland” starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, is going into its eighth season." Yeah, they are seemingly just financing Turn of Mind, not producing. They are doing both for French Exit.

Rory Koslow one of the producers for this most recent twitter follow aside from Rocket Science was Amblin Entertainment. Would be great if they came on board this and of course they are founded by Steven Spielberg who is of course good friends with Michelle.

Gideon Raff is on Instagram but looks like his account is private. Wonder if he posted anything about this?

Annette Bening is in talks to join Death on the Nile, not sure when they are supposed to film that, so really wondering when Turn of Mind will go into production since Pfeiffer is starting French Exit soon.

Apparently it begins filming end of September. Turn of Mind probably wont start production until early 2020 I'm guessing.

Do you think Michelle turned down Death on the Nile?
I suppose there arent any returning from MOTOE as yet so maybe they wanted a different cast

It seems that the only returning cast member (Outside of Branagh) is Tom Bateman as Bouc. Michelle had such a prominent role in the first one, it doesn't really make much sense to bring her back anyway.

Gideon Raff's new film with Chris Evans is out on Netflix this week and getting mixed reviews. There's a couple of interviews on YouTube but unfortunately nobody asks him about this.

Me too, I mean...word has been so quiet on this one. At least Michelle, and others involved with French Exit have been talking about that movie. But this, nothing. Although I feel like this is one of those productions that all of a sudden happens under people's noses and then before you know it, the page is updated and a release date is set.
Any word from Michelle's make-up artist on this one??

Still hopeful this will happen. Michelle will be doing French Exit 1st and Annette's doing Death on the Nile so don't see production starting until end of the year or early 2020. Maybe we'll hear more about this during the fall festivals or the American Film Market.

It is frustrating when they make a major casting announcement and then nothing else for months. It feels like the producers attach names to a project just to lure investors and secure funding. Given the talent involved, I can understand that scheduling would be a challenge but the truth is some of these films never make it to the production phase. Still hopeful but hope is fading with each passing day.

It sounds like Michelle, Annette and Rocket Science only came onboard the film not long before Cannes. It's not unusual though for a film to be announced months in advance before filming begins. Looking at Rocket Science list of films a lot of them are in Pre Production or have already started.
Flag Day - Filming Blood Moon - Filming Trial of Chicago 7 - Think it's due to film this month Goodrich and Queenpins were both in last weeks Production Weekly issue and Goodrich is due to start production in October.
Rocket Science seem a good company so hopefully this and French Exit are both happening.

Huvane has done that a lot with Aniston.

He might have asked, but maybe it was cut from the final video since it didn't have anything to do with his new film? He sometimes says he asked questions or had conversations about Pfeiffer off camera or at events while not doing formal interviews. You should ask him on Twitter if she asked about this project.

Am I imagining things or did they remove the release year of 2020 from the IMDB page for this film? I could have sworn it was listed as 2020 before.

I don’t remember 2020 being listed and tbh, I don’t see this happening til the Spring, unless they get going in the next month or so before French Exit...assuming they’re waiting til the cold season to shoot French Exit.

Pretty sure French Exit is happening 1st. Michelle has called it her next project and Annette will be filming Death on the Nile from next month. Hopefully this goes in to production early 2020.

I'm also thinking this will not go before the cameras until early next year. Hope it happens but you never know with indie films.

Doug Wright has done an interview with a Czech reporter Here's the translation
You also write the screenplay for the drama Turn of Mind with Michelle Pfeiffer and Annette Bening in the lead roles. After the New Year it is supposed to start shooting and I am going to interfere again in the shooting. The film industry is very vulnerable to accidents and accidents, and you can never count on anything, but director Gideon Raff approaches it with great passion, plus we have the two amazing actresses contracted. Moreover, it is a good thriller and you are now running; the novel was written by Alice LaPlante. The older lady is accused of killing a close person, but she suffers from Alzheimer's disease, so she doesn't know if she's guilty or not. I hope that in January, the cameras will actually turn on.
They are hoping to shoot in January it seems.

I'm pretty sure Michelle will have a beefed up role in this. Read someone's description of the book and how it works its way back from the past to the present day.
