Sad that there are no photos of her at the ceremony mingling with other celebs. Love that David and Michelle were sitting right behind Spielberg and Kate Capshaw and when Kidman won Steven tapped David on the shoulder to congratulate him. I love their friendship

I'll be totally honest and say I didn't love her outfit (well the skirt part anyway), but she herself looked amazing and it was so nice to see her get some recognition after 28 years on such a big stage.
I don't know where she'll go from here. She may want to work more, but I presume she'll always be picky and easily spooked when it comes to projects. Lets just hope she surprises us and gets many more nominations in the future. I feel like the industry is waiting, she just needs to want it more than ever.

well...i think it's a now or never situation for Michelle and im sure she knows it...i mean she had an amazing year, succesful films and series, much publicity, her "comeback" made headlines internationally....so i don't think it's easy to repeat that hype if she takes some kind of a break now.... i mean what's the point in taking a 2 years of again?? Plus she has 2 unreleased films already...so i believe, even if she doesn't feel like doing it, she will try to be "visible" in 2018 as well...!

I just get so nervous when she doesn't have anything publicly announced as in the works...lol

This is mainly why I want her to mingle at these functions. Introduce herself to directors or producers, actors she hasn't yet met, that might help her get more offers. But on the other hand, I really can't blame her for not wanting to do that, especially if she has anxiety like she said. You have to give her credit for even going at all.
I'm sure she has something in the works, she HAS to be getting more, better offers after working with Aronofsky and giving a fierce performance. Where is Kyra? should help too, at least with indie directors. I know that David Lowery, director of Ain't Them Bodies Saints and A Ghost Story, saw Where is Kyra? in 2017 and apparently really liked it.

I sunscribe the words of Michaelh and hope that David will creat a great role for her at tv or movies. Michelle could have done Laura Dern's role or Nicole Kidman's role.
Im sad for Sally Hawkins too, because she is my second favorite actress and she lost the award (I hope she wins at the Oscars). I love Frances Mc Dormand but she has 3 or 4 Globes.
And with the honorary awards, the Globes allways give the award to their 'friends', like Streep, Washington, etc. etc who have a lot of Globes, what a silly thing.
As for the Academy they give honorary Oscars to people like Jackie Chan.............. without words. Actresses of the level of Dorothy Mc Guire and Eleanor Parker never had one. Hope is not Pffeifer fate... but one can very happy and more talented without one.
In the meantime, we'll have fun here ¡¡ Nice to meet you

Actually, McDormand had never won one until last night. Her and the rest of the cast from Short Cuts were given special ones for their collective contributions to that film back in the 90s, but she herself has never won despite being nominated numerous times over the years.
Sally won her first time out back in 2009 for Happy-Go-Lucky...n she deserved it!!

Did you notice that Michelle gave Saoirse Ronan a standing ovation when she won? Too bad she kinda snubbed her, although I'm almost certain she didn't see Michelle. Would've been nice if she hugged Michelle or something considering ICNBYW was her first movie.

I only watched clips, so I guess I missed the ''snub''. Oh well... they only worked together for a while 12 years ago and she was very young.

I'm just going to choose to believe that Ronan simply didn't see Pfeiffer or notice that was her as she was going up to the stage. I don't think she's forgotten she ever worked with her, as Greta Gerwig has talked about ICNBYW recently and how Ronan sang in that film and how they discussed it while filming Lady Bird.

Btw, the Bafta nominations came out already. Both Lesley Manville and Kristin Scott Thomas got nominated. One good thing is that the supporting actress race seems to be all over the place, with so many different women getting nominated by different groups. Only Janney and Metcalf are the true locks. The frustrating thing is that not one nominated Pfeiffer!!

Please - no evidence of a snub in this clip. Ronan was looking down obviously to keep from tripping and she was rushing up to the stage. Give her a break.

Awesome... and yeah, after seeing the clip, I don't think it was really a snub. I doubt Pfeiffer expected some kind of embrace and Ronan was clearly a little flustered diving for the stage. Hopefully they caught up backstage.

Nathaniel tweeted about it and he's upset too, Lol. When you look at the screencaps he posted, it looks pretty bad, like how could Ronan not see her, as her points out, Pfeiffer was the only one standing for her. But I'm sure it just looks worse than it really is. Still kind of annoying, though.

I might be in the minority over here, but I liked Dern in BLL and I think she's a suitable winner. Plus, there's just WAY more buzz for BLL than WoL. That said, I do think Michelle gave the better performance, so it's a little upsetting that she's being caught up in what looks like a sweep. Dern was good but she doesn't wipe the floor with everyone... At this point, it might just be lip service, but I really clutch at it whenever she acknowledges her "fellow nominees"...

Never heard Laura say anything about Mich or the other nominees, guess I missed it? I know she didnt at the Emmys cuz it bothered me at that time haha. But yea sometimes its not about the persons performance more about the movie over all and if people like that person and all that She gave the standard "it's an honor to be included among my fellow nominees" spiel at the start of her Globes speech. She did it during a backstage interview at the Emmys. It's typical for winners to do that, but I'd like to believe she's being sincere in this case. As far as I'm concerned, she won over Mich by a hair.

Mich shoulda gone over to the table where she was sitting and talked to her and like I cant believe there are no new pics of Mich with anybody from the show!! grrr When you watch the clip, another woman also stand up at that moment, or Ronan couldn't have enough space to walk through, and I really think she just didn't see her or way too nervous walking to the stage, come on it's her first BIG thing and her mind could be kinda empty at that moment.

I agree with Bond. As I said before, I chalk this up to Ronan being in a rush to get on stage and she was caught up in the moment of hearing her name called. Reading a snub into this strikes as too much Twitter time and maybe a bit of projection. Over and out on this topic.

Well Pfeiffer lost again tonight and she didn't go to the ceremony. I don't blame her. It's not a big-time event and I'm sure she's tired of losing to the same person.
This is off topic, but the one thing that bugs me most about these awards shows where they have sit down meals like the GG's and the Critics Choice tonight is that wasted food. SO MUCH WASTED FOOD. They could have served those meals to homeless people instead, people who would actually eat it and people who need it.
