And she had her own posters for DS... Oh, man. Those posters were terrible, like the film itself, Lol. You are so right !!!!

This should get plenty of exposure at the weekend as being shown with the new Annabelle which is estimated to make around 30m this weekend. Agree, and that movie looks great, too. Very creepy. I am however a little concerned it's opening the weekend after "IT" opens. That will probably hurt it a bit, as "IT" is going to be huge, tracking for like $40+ million opening. But I think the mother! trailer and the mysterious marketing is going to help it quite a bit. Hopefully it will have strong reviews and word of mouth to keep it going for weeks at the box office. I don't think mother! will be a box office success, but it's not really important, Aronofsky is an artist. I prefer the movie to be a critical success, maybe prize winner in festivals, than a big box office success that will be forgotten in 2 years. I hope mother! will become a classic like Requiem for a dream. Who will remember "IT" in two years ??

It'll be interesting to see how it does, but I think there's a strong possibility it does quite well, especially if the festival buzz and reactions are strong. As for "IT", It looks pretty great to me and if it's good I think it will be memorable. People love them some Stephen King adaptions.

They showed her face on the Dark Shadows poster, but only Depp's name was featured prominently on the poster. On the People Like Us poster, her name was up on top with everyone else's, but only Pine, Banks and the kid were pictured on there. And she had her own posters for DS... Loved those both posters...hoping for a similar greatness for her Murder on the Orient Express character poster...if she gets one

Apparently this is due to have it's premiere in Venice on 5th September. Hoping Michelle will be there to attend.

I'm just realising that 'American Assassin' is also opening on September 15th. We get a Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer movie in the same weekend. Wonder who will come out on top?
Also, those two need to work together again.

Trying hard to not get my hopes up, but wow. I know he wouldn't say otherwise, but this is so great. "Brave and bold"? I was so worried her role would be small and not that important, but it sounds like the opposite. Can't wait!

OMG what do u think brave could mean? nude scene? Maybe he's referring to the intensity of the role n the performance perhaps n how it isn't the easiest of territories to venture into as an actress...but how she managed robb did quite well.

Based purely on Aronofsky's comment, I am thinking she may be heading into Julianne Moore territory, which means anything goes. I'm a bit protective about MP - which is not my right at all - but I hope it's nothing degrading. Thinking of Ellen Burstyn and Jennifer Connelly in Requiem For A Dream.
Brace yourselves - this could be a bumpy ride.

I am too, its perfectly understandable and reasonable...as far as I'm concerned ha ha...I agree I would hate her to be in a degrading situation on film, but it seems to me that her's is a character in control who has power, which may mean something. Also, we gotta remember that Michelle willingly signed on for this. I don't wanna see her in something degrading, but whatever she does in this movie, it represents in some way, the places she is willing and wanting to go to as an artist.

When Pfeiffer said "why don't you want kids?", it gave me a little White Oleander flashback (that passive-aggressive prison scene with Renee Zellwegger). Also worth noting that Pfeiffer described her role in mother! as something she didn't understand initially, which was how she described her role in White Oleander. Fingers crossed that her role (and performance) in this is as memorable as Ingrid in WO.

Is it possible that {SPOILER! CLICK ME IF YOU DARE!}Pfeiffer is playing two different characters? Just watching the trailer again, coupled with the new TV spot, when she first arrives she is mostly all pleasant, her hair is down, etc. Then later we see her arriving again, in all black, hair up, fierce, angry look on her face when she turns around, then a seemingly evil laugh in another shot. Why would she be arriving a second time? Maybe Lawrence's character imagines/dreams of her as two different people? Just a thought. It's going to be fascinating to see what this story is really about.
