HBD, Pfeiffer!
I'll probably watch White Oleander (or at least skip to her parts lol). I also haven't seen The Age of Innocence in a while so I'll probably view that too.

I was soooooooo privileged to see The Age of Innocence on the big screen on two occasions last fall as part of Alamo Drafthouse Austin's Afternoon Tea series where they take a period film, put it on the big screen n charge a lot of money for ticket cuz they give u tea n snacks that r themed w the movie...worth every penny both times!! LOL

Anybody else going to be celebrating Michelle's birthday in a similar/special way? What??? That's your favorite movie of Pfeiffer? Did not see that coming. hehe :-) I actually have never seen two of her cult classics: Grease 2 and Ladyhawke. It's too late now for her birthday, but I should probably make an effort to see those two movies soon.

LOL I know I know, its a random choice, but I love the genre so much, plus I think the film has a really great score n screenplay with some really great scenes...I especially like the scene between her n Nicholson in the hotel room. Plus, I like her character a lot--I love watching her as this rich bad girl who is this kind of lost wounded soul that never fit into society. I also like how she saves the day in the end, plus I just LOVE her in the final scene haha But in the end, its soooooooo hard to pick one favorite, its easier to list my least favorites LOL (Sweet Liberty, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday)

LOL I'm going to a retrospective screening from Martin Scorscese in Amsterdam in the EYE film museum (https://www.eyefilm.nl/en/exhibition/martin-scorsese-%E2%80%93-the-exhibition) this month. He made a selection from his movies that inspired him the most and one of them is The Age of Innocence. It's complete digital restaurated and will be shown in 4K! So i'm very excited to see this on the big screen

Last saturday I saw The Age of Innocence in the EYE Film museum Amsterdam and it was amazing! The film was in 4k digital format and looked absolutely stunning! They did a great job to made it look like celluloid (wich I still prefere over digital). It was the first time I saw it on the big screen. Great experience!

They did something similar a couple of years ago in, I believe Rome. They screened it at an outdoor plaza or square in these beautiful ancient buildings.

Actually there's two shows of The Age of Innocence too in Hong Kong these months, I watched the one in early May and there will be another show in June 16, thinking if I should go again or not. This movie was selected by the film association for special screening many times already here and I just get to understand more and more about the story and the characters a little more each time. Totally a masterpiece!

I consider myself very lucky because, not to brag or anything, I've a little private homecinema with a 2.40m screen. So now and then I can watch a blu ray film with MP.

Nice write-up. Are those the only films of hers that are streaming currently? If so, that's a damn shame.

Oh, no there are at least twice that many. My coworker who manages that column limits us to 4-5 titles, so choices had to be made lol

Reese wished her a happy bday again on her IG stories. I don't follow many celebs there, have any others done the same?
