Thanks for the info, Admin. If Bakalova wins it will be an scandal and the Globes will seem a joke.
I'm pretty sure that Bakalova it's not bbetter than Michelle. Someone has seen Bakalova¡s movie?

Crossed fingers for Michelle winnnnnnnnnnn She is really fantastic in Borat, and would be a deserving winner. She has won tons of critics awards already. Though, I would not be that shocked to see the Oscars snub her lol

Losing a GG might not be a bad idea this year with Ava DuVernay and others launching a Times Up campaign to highlight the lack of diversity in the HFPA.
I think most people understand what a sham the Globes are but the awards show is a great marketing tool for films and stars, so Hollywood laughs and looks the other way when they do ridiculous things like award Pia Zadora best newcomer or recognize bad films like Sia's directorial debut in Music. But when you have 87 members and not one of them is black, it shows how utterly out of touch they are.

Hi, has anybody knows the order of the Golden Globes? The category of best actress in a comedy or musical is early in the show? Thanks!

Goldderby usually has the order but I don't see anything on there about it yet

No Golden Globe for Michelle. Predictable but sad, I had high hopes for this one!!!

I was certain there would be an upset, just thought it would be Michelle lol. Oh well. One day she will be in an actual great film with an undeniable performance where she sweeps.

The Foster win was the most bizarre lol. I like Pike and Day and their performances.

I will say again, this new makeup Michelle got from that Gucci Westman lady is not doing her any favors and I hope she stops wearing it very soon. It makes people think she had recent work done.

Pike's a good actress, so its probably well deserved (I still haven't seen any of the films yet). A nomination is enough for Michelle, especially with the conversations around the Globes this year, but any Oscar just definitively left her sight.
Oh well, onwards and upwards.

The HFPA not only needs to work on diversity, they need to stop all medications, take a filmmaking 101 class at UCLA, and take their jobs seriously to restore what little credibility they had before last night.
Not Michelle's best look - I agree - too pale, a little too much makeup perhaps, but nice to see her among the nominees again.

It's a shame they didn't choose to anoint a great star but Rosamund Pike gave a great performance.
My big issue with it is that it's absolutely not a comedy or musical. It's a thriller with some scenes that are kind of farcical. Intentionally though, it's a great ride but not a great film I don't think.

I have not seen The Mauritanian yet, but I am thrilled for Foster! I hope she gets an Oscar comeback!
Andra Day and Rosamund Pike winning are the worst things that could've happened with Michelle's Oscar campaign. Both (esp. Day) are in better positions now to take the 5th slot. It would've been better for Michelle if Bakalova (who's in supporting anyway) and Mulligan had won.

Maybe Michelle still has possibilities to have a nomination, if Sony Pictures has a good strategy. This year it's and will be different, different.
Rosamunde Pike it's a great actress and the award seems ok for me, but her movie it's not a masterpiece (possibly, as 'French Exit', but I haven't seen this movie).
I'm delighted for Caret Mulligan not winning, because I don't like very much this actress. Very strange decision to give the award to Andra Day. Some people say that Viola Davis doesn't offer her best acting in 'Ma Ranney Black Bottom',
I like very much Jodie Foster.
The Golden Globes wanted to be pollitically correct, and it's a bit childish attitude. The real problem is the lack of diversity between their menbers and that they are are few people. It seems that it's very difficult to be one of the menbers of the HFPA.

So, I haven’t seen French Exit yet and I was, at first, a bit thrown by the trailer and the accent - too Cheri for me (eurgh), but please give me a heads up. Is she not good in this film? I’ve seen Rosamund Pike’s performance and I wasn’t blown away - and I hated the film. Pike’s performance was just so perfunctory to me. Surely Michelle is better?!
I’m still hoping (blindly) Michelle can get an Oscar nomination for this. I didn’t love Andra Day’s performance either. It was a brave performance but I didn’t quite feel the ‘soul’ of it, so...

I personally didn't think Michelle was anything special in FE. But the cheese stands alone I guess. I expected something way different and new from her after the early word about her work and the film, but nope.

Looks to be just a buzz and ratings grab by the Academy. It's still dumb, though.

Well, at least The Razzies spared her. Not true of Glenn or Anne (who got two noms).
