This sounds like the kind of nice, smaller-scaled project I’d like to see her take on before Megalopolis (maybe) happening this fall. Blumhouse is producing (a rare non-horror effort) and the writer and the director are the ones behind Black Bear, which was a really great indie. Just sounds lovely and sweet 😊 www.imdb.com/title/tt14329264/reference/

I'm not familiar with the musical at all really but saw someone else mention maybe she could be in the running for Madame Morrible in Wicked due to shoot in the UK in the summer.

Not a big fan of the musical (after seeing it), but LOVED the book. So not really hoping for that to happen lol

That’d be interesting. I don’t remember the musical much so not sure how big/good the part is. Always ready to hear Michelle sing again tho

deadline.com/2022/04/feud-naomi-watts-star-capotes-women-season-2-fx-series-jon-robin-baitz-gus-van-sant-1234992069/Could there be a role for her in this? Worldwide search is underway for an actor to play Capote in Capote’s Women. Other Oscar-nominated and winning actresses are being approached to star alongside Watts playing Capote’s Socialite Swans, including Slim, Pamela, Lee, Gloria and C.Z., as well as Johnny Carson’s second wife Joanne Carson, a good friend of Capote’s who remained close to him until his death. Casting these roles is expected to kick into high gear next week

Well, she's backed out of playing Slim Keith before in Infamous. But, eh, another series? More specifically, a Ryan Murphy series?? Wouldn't mind this not happening for her. I'm not too crazy about the idea of seeing her have to compete for screen time with a collection of other actresses.

But being directed by Van Sant would be great to see.

Looks like Ryan will just be credited as an EP. Fun fact the writer/showrunner for this was in One Fine Day.

But being directed by Van Sant would be great to see. It would, depending on the approach he took. He isn't always a sure bet.

Van Sant is the drawing card to me and the book was a terrific read. I expect the series will be his vision more than Murphy's and that is a good thing. Michelle's too old, however, to play Lee Radzwill or Joanna Carson in the seventies. Not sure about the other roles.

I've not even seen The First Lady yet but with reviews not looking healthy I'm just ready for her next project now.

I've been off the boards for a while, but I have to echo others and express a lack of enthusiasm for 'Wicked'. The part sounds like mixture of Velma Von Tussle and Queen Ingrith. She'd be great at it, no doubt, but I'd rather see her doing something a little more interesting/challenging.

Interview with THR says she is planning to take the rest of this year off to focus on Henry Rose. Not what we wanted to hear.

Well I'm not gonna be too upset about her taking the rest of the year off, unless that means she turns down something juicy and great. I would have to think if she got a GREAT offer she'd probably change her mind.

Interview with THR says she is planning to take the rest of this year off to focus on Henry Rose. Not what we wanted to hear. I don't know. This sort of leaves the door open, I think. "In fact, her latest plan is to take the remainder of the year off to focus solely on the company. But who knows? The offers keep coming, and they’re enticing, even for Dr. No."

I did as well. I remember her mentioning that during her first Charlie Rose interview and have occasionally wondered what kind of film she would take on. I'm not sure why, but I always pictured her directing something like White Oleander; not in terms of subject matter, but something along those lines when it comes to look, feel and tone.

Remember how a lot of us wanted Pfeifer to lead a season of True Detective a few years ago? Jodie Foster just got a lead role in season 4 lol. Good for her.

Sounds like there is a co lead;
To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.
Imagine Jodie and Michelle together?

Not likely as the co-lead is Hispanic. I suppose she could be married but I bet they will cast this with an Hispanic actress.

Keaton only has a 10 minute role in the film apparently and Pfeiffer is NOT in it, but her Catwoman is heavily referenced, leaving the door slightly ajar for an appearance in an upcoming movie. However, with everything going on over at DC films, I can see Keaton jumping ship again before long.

Yeah god knows what WB are going to do about the Flash. Ezra Miller needs locked up and the key thrown away.

What did I say about Keaton jumping ship soon? A waste of time, energy and money. We are never seeing Pfeiffer back as Catwoman (or simply Selina), as nice as it would have been.
