Really wish she had not bothered with the Marvel franchise now. We were all so happy when she signed on as Janet Van Dyne. I think Michelle will probably be around for most of the Ant Man shoot and can see her having to travel to UK Pinewood for when it starts filming there in July.

The Flash is also currently filming in the UK so maybe Michelle could make a visit to the set to film a cameo as Selena Kyle. Michelle has been pretty quiet on Instagram lately.

Mare of Easttown creator has signed a 3 year deal with HBO. Would love to see him develop a project for Michelle.

That was such a good show, mainly because the characters were so well-written IMO

Kept hoping we might of heard of another project from the Cannes market but no such joy. Really wish she wasn't doing Ant Man as her next project.

The new Bryan Cranston / Annette Bening film sounds interesting but Bening is probably a better fit for that role since it's based on a real life couple. And it starts production next month which rules Michelle out due to Ant Man filming this summer.
Hoping we get a new film or limited series announcement before the end of the year.

Just saw this on the Broadway World chat boards. It’s only a rumor from an unnamed source but there’s speculation about disgraced producer Scott Rudin purchasing the rights to Mame for Michelle’s Broadway debut. Goes on to say that she went into vocal training but her voice wasn’t up to the demands of the score, so Rudin purchased the rights to A Little Night Music for her instead.
Probably nothing more than idle gossip but it’s an intriguing idea.
Rudin is persona non grata because of his abusive reputation, so if either of these happen, it would be without his involvement.
I’d like to see Michelle on Broadway but I’d prefer a dramatic play over a musical. An original play too, not a revival.

I believe they are actually (or were) friends. He was a producer on ICNBYW until the whole thing got messy and his name was removed.

I would think/hope we get something announced by the end of the year. Otherwise, that would mean she plans on not acting at all throughout 2022, which given her recent output over the last several years, I don't see happening. With the exception of 2020, she's worked every year since 2015

Someone on twitter pointed out that she recently made a comment about maybe doing Broadway after Covid? It sounds familiar but I don't know what interview it was

It was during the FE promotional blitz but I don't remember which interview. She said she was interested in working on the stage but I don't recall anything about a musical. Years ago on The View, she said something about not feeling her voice was up to the rigors of eight shows a week on Broadway but she often expresses self-doubt and then goes ahead anyway. I do think she would be reluctant to tackle an iconic role in a musical without feeling she was 100% up to it vocally. She would want her debut to be a success in a splashy musical like Mame and so much riding on it. Rudin make Hello Dolly w/ Bette Midler a must-see event, so he's very savvy about crafting star vehicles for big names that get great reviews and draw huge box-office numbers. I can see him wanting to do something similar with Michelle.
Assuming there is a grain of truth in this, it is probably off the table now because Rudin has been canceled.

It would be great if while she was in the UK she managed to film a secret cameo as Selina Kyle for The Flash. We don't even know if Ant Man has started filming yet.

Wasn't that such a great show?! It had a real greek tragedy/dark comedy vibe about it. Jennifer Coolidge was my favorite on there. It's easily my favorite Mike White work.

Jennifer Coolidge was great but wasn't my favourite part. I loved Armond the manager v Shane the most and the Mossbacher family. Gorgeous cinematography and music too.

Make it three in the Mike White fan club. I thoroughly enjoyed White Lotus. The self-absorbed characters, the snarky writing and the terrific music. I was a fan of Enlightened too which was another Mike White series on HBO.

Enlightened was so great as well! As was Year of the Dog, which was a tiny indie White directed starring Molly Shannon.

I liked the family, with the exception of Olivia. She was the one character I couldn't stand. Meanwhile, I was surprised by how touched I was by Quinn's arc.

You think they'd bring her back for Maleficent 3? Supposedly the first draft of the script has already been completed. Perhaps some kind of redemption arc for Queen Ingrith?
