I wonder if Paramount will place an embargo on reviews until the release date. But then, how could they, since the film will be shown at Venice and Toronto and those films are always reviewed by the trades. I bet they will insist on a no spoilers condition which could make this even more confusing. Whatever - I just hope the film lives up to expectations.

Accdg to who?? That's ridiculous. If the full trailer is the trailer we already have, then what is the point of highlighting August 8th? That makes no sense. Not buying it. People saw it before The Dark Tower and Detroit tonight. Said basically it's a somewhat extended version of the teaser with more of Lawrence walking around with a couple new lines of dialogue and more quick shots including one with a lot of people in a room. They didn't say if Pfeiffer and Harris's names were shown or not but I hope so. Nah still not buying it...lol don't get why they would make us wait til the 8th if it was just that, there'd be no point

They usually always give us an embargo, regardless of the film. The worst is when they screen the film for us a whole month before release n the embargo doesn't drop until the day before, or in some cases, the day of. Studios usually don't issue warnings about spoilers. Usually it's up to the critic to forewarn their readers if there r any in the review. I usually do w mine if I decide they're worth mentioning

Multiple people are saying the same thing and it leaked online this morning on a private Twitter account and more people describe it the same way.

It also seems that {SPOILER! CLICK ME IF YOU DARE!} it's Lawrence that says the line "you give and you give and you give but it's never enough", not Pfeiffer.

I wouldn't think so, or they would have just kept the October date and not done any festivals. Doesn't make any sense to move the date, take it to fests and still put an embargo. That kills any buzz and positive word of mouth/reviews coming out of the festival, if the film is any good, of course.

Here is the trailer. They put Pfeiffer's name in the teaser with just audio, but can't put her name here?? Lame.

Kind of like how there were two audio-only teasers? You know, there was the 20-second one and then a longer one w a shot of Lawrence's eyes at the end?? I can't think of any other reason for publicizing a trailer debut w an official date and then releasing it in theaters ahead of said date, especially knowing there was a strong chance of it leaking online. Why announce a release date in the first place?? I guess we'll find out on Tuesday... On another note, I think it is Michelle who says that line...it sounds very much like her, especially in the beginning of it.

You could be right, there could be a different one coming on the 8th. I'm just annoyed that Pfeiffer and Harris, two very respected actors, Oscar nominees, can't even get name credits. Weird they put them in the audio only teaser but not on the last two with footage.
And I also think it sounds somewhat like Pfeiffer in the first part, but the second part where they say "but it's never enough" is Lawrence for sure. I think. Lol.

Is this whole thing killing anyone else as much as it's killing me?? I've never looked forward to a release of one of Michelle's films as much as this one in part cuz I'm excited bout Michelle n the film in general, but also cuz I'm so so so over all these hints and not knowing...I dunno how I did it back in the day when audiences were kept in the dark all the time. Press screenings are usually held on the monday or tuesday before a film's release (w some exceptions), which means I could be seeing Mother! on either the 11th or 12th, since everyone at work knows I'm the resident Pfeiffer-phile n wouldn't dare try n get that assignment over me. Anyhow, I can't wait for the relief that will wash over me sitting in that theater n knowing that I don't have to wonder or speculate bout this f**king movie ANY LONGER!!!!!! LOL

Patience my dear, patience. The less you know the better. Like I said before they make too many trailers. I used to look all trailers and it killed many times the experience of a movie. Occasionally I watch a teaser and that's it. I admit it was difficult in the beginning but now I have learn to wait.

Babyfaced...you were right, there is another trailer coming...2 minutes, 4 seconds in length. I know everyone means good and love Michelle, but reading comments here is actually as frustrating as on the awardswatch.com lol. Could we be more appreciate instead of questioning and doubting...the marketing won't hurt the actual value of the movie itself, and the quality of La Pfeiffer's performance.

So it doesn't bother you in the least that they left her name off the trailer and the posters? Come on. As fans, we tend to care about these things so why not call them out? The secrecy surrounding this film has been designed to make people talk and speculate. No need to tiptoe as long as we keep it respectful, in my opinion. But I agree with your last statement - none of this will matter if the film and her performance are good. The upfront marketing should not take anything away from that.

Well, I will say that I do tend to overanalyze/overreact to things, but I mean, that's part of the fun of films. Watching trailers, awaiting stills and so on. Plus, if I'm worried about a film's marketing that's only because I want it to do well.
