You have to be registered and logged in to be able vote in this poll. I suggest using the Chrome or Safari browser, NOT FIREFOX, for some reason ProBoards forums features do not work on Firefox.
Emmy nominations will be announced Thursday, July 13, at 8:30 AM PT /11:30 AM ET

It's actually quite depressing to focus on this award stuffs....lol I kinda know what you mean...the thing bout her doing stuff like Dark Shadows or The Family is that those projects are so commercial and not the kind of stuff that gets awards, it doesn't come with the hope and worry of her getting, or not getting recognized. It's hard not to get excited at the thought tho of her being up for big awards even if it means it comes with all of the awards crap of heavy competing, campaigning, etc, which I HATE!!

It's actually quite depressing to focus on this award stuffs....lol Yeah, awards talk is mostly silly, but to me, at this point in her career, it's exciting. She hasn't been in the conversation for any awards since 2002(!). So it helps raise her profile and it will hopefully help get her even more exciting roles in the coming years.

I like this line - 'An HBO movie directed by Barry Levinson and starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer is pretty much a lock for an Emmy nomination, so expect to see the Bernie Madoff tale Wizard of Lies in there, even if the film was tepidly received in May.'

I'm not sure she will, but I got my fingers crossed she will.

It is for sure a lock for TV Movie nomination and De Niro, but Azaria is a big question mark, he's an Emmy favorite, but he's barely in the movie and not that good in it, IMO. I could also see female voters being really put off by that certain scene he has. I think they'll either go all in with this (TV Movie, De Niro, Pfeiffer, Azaria) or the lackluster reception will hurt it and only get TV movie and De Niro.

I'll be miffed if Michelle is overlooked and they end up nominating 2 people from AHS. That show has lost it's spark.

I think I'll be fine either way whatever happens. Obviously, I'd love to see her get more awards recognition n acclaim than she has in the past, but the film is here to stay, she's great in it n ppl (especially directors and producers) know it...
That being said, the only thing that WILL upset me is if Catherine Zeta-Jones takes her slot for her role in Feud...I won't be able to take that happening...again!! LOL

But it was Latifah who took her slot at the Oscars, not Jones.

Not many people watch it anymore, however, at least one of them will be nominated because of the "name-checking" factor, probably Paulson. My biggest issue with the Emmys is, It's just really dumb to lump Limited Series in with TV Movies. They should be separate.

I always looked at Latifah as legitimately in a supporting role whereas Jones was a lead that Harvey tried to disguise as supporting...couldn't fool me

I think Jones was rightly placed in supporting. It was borderline, to me.
Well, we know Pfeiffer will be at this years Emmy's, one way or another. David is a lock to be nominated for writing Big Little Lies. So there's that....

Eh, she wasn't my favorite even among the other actresses who were nominated that year...it was such a great year for movies, but that category seemed to be lacking in some way, even tho all the nominees did some fine work. Michelle shoulda been in that group n i'll always be bitter bout that ha ha Agreed. She'll be there..Wizard of Lies the film will certainly get a nom so her support of both it, and David, will guarantee her attendance for sure!!

LOL I really don´t understand the hate for CZJ´s performance. I thought she was brilliant and captured the essence of De Havilland, especially in episode 5. It would be a dream of mine to see both nominated, as they should have been back in 2003, but that fatty Bates took the slot.

www.thewrap.com/emmy-predictions-movies-and-miniseries/OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A LIMITED SERIES OR MOVIE “Big Little Lies” and “Feud” have more actresses to give us here – but “American Horror Story” is typically strong in this category as well, and you’d be foolish to underestimate Robert De Niro’s co-star in “The Wizard of Lies,” Michelle Pfeiffer. Predicted nominees: Laura Dern, “Big Little Lies” Judy Davis, “Feud” Regina King, “American Crime” Michelle Pfeiffer, “The Wizard of Lies” Shailene Woodley, “Big Little Lies” Sarah Paulson, “American Horror Story: Roanoke” Don’t rule out: Kathy Bates, “American Horror Story: Roanoke;” Mary Elizabeth Winstead, “Fargo;” Jackie Hoffman, “Feud;” Ellen Burstyn, “Custody;” Lili Taylor, “American Crime” Possible upset: Diane Keaton, “The Young Pope”
