John McLaughlin’s interview with me got the highest ratings in the history of CNBC. Likewise, on public television, Charlie Rose’s interview with me almost got the highest ratings. Who the hell knows why, but it just seems to happen—ask Larry King, [Phil] Donahue, and Oprah.
In any event, in conjunction with Pierre Cossette, I am going to do a one to one and a half hour special entitled “Donald Trump Presents the Most Beautiful Women in the World.” This show will consist of a series of shorts and interviews with ten of the most beautiful women in the world, including Lady Di (who I know and I think will speak to me), Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Michelle Pfeiffer, etc… This program will be done on a yearly basis and will get huge ratings. I will promote it heavily—along with everything else I do.
Another network is very interested, but I wanted to speak to you before proceeding. I would appreciate a call as soon as possible.
With best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year,
Sincerely, Donald J. Trump
P.S. I’ll bet it gets one of the top five highest ratings of the year!
You have the book? Can you post all that he said ? :-)
I don't have the book. Like a true cheapskate, I sat at Barnes & Noble and thumbed my way through it!! Ha ha
It is worth a read though!!
A bit more of what he said:
On that first count, Baldwin has simply been lucky, having worked alongside the most talented performers in show business, from Tina Fey (“When I first met Tina … I had the same reaction that I’m sure many men and women have: I fell in love”) to Megan Mullally (“madly in love”) to Mary-Louise Parker (“like no other woman I’d worked with before”) to Michelle Pfeiffer (“[she] tempted you to confuse acting with reality”) and on and on.
I agree -- Fallon is a moron and not funny, so basically he is the same as Jay Leno, but she will most likely do his show again. I'm a big fan of Seth Meyers. It's kind of too bad Pfeiffer's agent and management already did stuff like get her a star on the Walk of Fame and had her do Inside The Actor's Studio for her last "comeback" in 2007, she could use stuff like that this time around, especially if she's in the awards race. Any other event like this she could possibly be in line for this time around? Only think I can think of is have her hand prints done at Grauman's Chinese Theater.

I'm glad she's doing Actors on Actors since that's a high-profile kind of interview outlet. I hope she does Charlie Rose again. His show feels like actual conversations/discussions rather than a chance for a host to practice his stand-up routines on guests. His first interview with her was one of her most interesting ever.
I really hope she stays away from The View and The Talk. If she must do one, I pick The View...but only on Joy Behar's day off
